In May, I graduated with a bachelors degree. Ever since then I’ve been working incredibly hard on my business. Every day I try to set new goals for myself to get started like finding my target market, setting prices, learning more techniques, and finding ways to market myself. It’s been stressful to be honest, but I need to stop expecting fast results on some things that take months to accomplish. Im going to definitely slow down and work on one thing at a time.
This week I’m just going to work on my price list. I’m going to figure out what products i’m going to provide other than digital downloads. It’s been fun researching industry standards. Sue Bryce did mention in her last workshop that the industry minimum was $400, but now a lot of new photographers are charging much less and giving more…. and I definitely don’t want to do that. I want to charge what I’m worth. I don’t want to be that bargain photographer. I want to be that photographer that everyone demands. So, ill take everything in consideration and set a starting price list! I’ll stick with it for a few months. And if I need to make any changes, I won’t hesitate to do so. :)
I don’t know what obstacles are coming my way, but I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to reach my goal.
